What every electric setup needs

  • Circuit breaker: most trolling motor makers specify one, often 50–60 amps, between battery and motor.
  • Battery box: keeps the battery secure and the terminals covered.
  • Battery monitor: a shunt-based monitor shows true state of charge, which matters with lithium.
  • Motor mount: kayaks and inflatables usually need a mount kit.
